Vodka, basil and lime. This refreshing twist on a Gimlet is sure to delight.
INGREDIENTS
- 6 basil leaves
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup*
- 3 1/2 oz Ironworks Vodka
DIRECTIONS
- Muddle the basil leaves with lime juice in the bottom of a metal cocktail shaker.
- Add simple syrup and vodka
- Fill the shaker with ice cubes. Shake for 15-20 seconds.
- Strain into a martini glass.
*Simple Syrup: To make simple syrup heat equal parts sugar and water (i.e 1 Cup water 1 Cup sugar) over a medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the liquid is gently boiling. When the liquid is clear (not cloudy) remove from the heat source.
